The Front of the House Manager assists the General Manager and the Assistant General Manager to ensure exceptional guest service and smooth execution of all restaurant operations. Common tasks include running preshift meetings, continuous monitoring and training of all front of the house staff, managing reservations and seating, speaking with guests, and completing end of shift paperwork.
*Prior experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
*Good food and beverage knowledge.
*Strong knowledge of service standards and an ability to share knowledge with staff.
*Strong knowledge of New Orleans food and cocktails.
*Hands on and willing to lead by example.
*Knowledge of computers including Micros and OpenTable.
*Available to work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
*Professional and punctual.
*Good references from previous employers, preferably local.
